John Abraham in today's Bombay Times, the Chak De, Mumbai column which has a new celebrity response everyday, on 26/11 -
"I think the message is out there. 60% of the population is below 40 which means we have the largest 'thinking' population in the world."
Does anyone out there know how I can switch that 'thinking' button off now that I'm way past 40?

Ageist so-and-so. Thinking population my foot.
Oh, so one-year-olds 'think' and forty-one-year-olds don't?
He really shouldn't open his mouth, poor fella. Maybe he's planning for a career in politics?
Obviously Johnnie-boy hasn't heard of Lennon.
(Of course, Lennon said Life begins at 40 and then was shot two months later.)
I wonder if this means he will shoot himself/declare himself senile/get himself committed when he is 40?
Just when I was beginning to believe models have SOME brains- he makes himself a stereotype :B tsk
Now, now , ladies, you are all over reacting. Don't take this personally or literally.
Osho also has said that a man over thirty is as good as dead.
Most filmmakers make their best films when they are young, is it not?
I think what John meant here is 'original thinking', or thinking fresh, being open to new ideas.
Like barefooting? :)
Huh? Oooh, John. Usually he's so thoughtful (I'm not being ironic!).
Must be all that time he spent in Miami for Dostana...
Maybe he means that 40% of the population is the thinking part, not the below 40, 60%! ;-) OK OK - I wont make excuses - the guy is obviously a dunce...
Unfortunately, humans do not associate age & wisdom at one shot! We seem to think that children don't know much and adults do! How wrong we are! We also seem to think that at your 40, you are your optimal best! How wrong we are! We seem to think humans are intelligent! How right we are?! :-)
Right, yeah, right.
You've got to be kidding. How can anyone take either the Bombay Times or John - even individually - seriously? And when you consider the two in combination, well, mashaallah, sone pe suhaga and all that.
Cheers,

I have to post this though I have already told u what I think.... See John was actually talking about Shah Rukh when he said " non thinking 40plus"- just watched Rab ne bana di jodi.... and John's remark about Shah Rukh is an understatement..... and about John,I can only say that he is an exception to his rule , he is not yet 40 and look at him..... poor guy...
An award awaits you at my blog.
You are taking this comment seriously? A man who makes his living by exposing his butt crack must not be 'thinking' much (if at all) when he said all that.
Whoa, I was going to say something, but then realized that I'm too old to think. ;)
All the best!
